The CARD Difference

Providing comprehensive, up-front evaluations and helping maintain updated assessment data for our clients are important parts of The CARD Difference.

The CARD Psychology and Healthcare Clinic provides assessment and intervention services to the general public and existing CARD clients. Starting a therapeutic intervention often requires a diagnosis from a medical doctor or licensed psychologist, so an assessment is typically the first step in the remediation process. However, there is more to it than just that. Assessments also provide a wealth of information to guide intervention efforts. Our assessment support services ensure that every client at CARD receives an annual evaluation to help guide treatment progress.

Assessment Services: The first step is knowing

People typically seek an assessment for themselves or their children when there is a noticeable problem with school, work, or social functioning.

Assessments establish a baseline of functioning and provide the appropriate diagnosis to initiate intervention services. Most importantly, assessments provide specific recommendations to guide intervention efforts. The CARD Psychology and Healthcare Clinic offers a range of assessment services to meet individual needs. Visit the CARD Psychology and Healthcare Clinic website for more information.

Assessments are used to identify:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
  • Language Disorders
  • Social-Emotional and Personality Disorders (e.g., social anxiety)
  • Intellectual Disabilities or Giftedness
